Two Fest

Two Fest

PRODUCED BY THE SPACE THEATRE

JANUARY-FEBRUARY 2020

A two week duologue festival featuring 13 stunning short plays from 13 playwrights, 9 directors and 24 actors.

I directed two plays for Two Fest:

Going Outside written by Leon Fleming, performed by Jake Dove and Daniel N’Guessan-Lopez
As young people wrestle with identity and the media becomes hungrier for controversy, it is not always easy to decide what should remain private and intimate.

Review - Queerguru

DANIEL N’GUESSAN-LOPEZ plays one half of the odd couple and is superb as a fast talking, articulate warrior for the cause whereas the hunky JAKE DOVE playing the pop star is a highly effective contrast; he is deliciously sardonic when he asks; “Are you always this intense?” …snappy dialogue by LEON FLEMING leaves a great impression long after the last note of the playout music”

The End of Us written by Emma Fenton-Wells, performed by Katherine Kerman and Harry Trevaldwyn
Nine hours until humanity’s democratically chosen destruction – Sounds like the perfect time to break up.

Review - View from the Outside

“A very timely and topical piece that looks at both the end of a relationship, and the end of humanity. Katherine Kerman and Harry Trevaldwyn both give fabulous performances as our central couple who seem to be unable to avoid picking at the issues within their relationship, even in their final hours of life…. Director Olivia Munk incorporates smart uses of technology to set the context, but otherwise allows the heart of the play the sit with Kerman and Trevaldwyn’s convincing performances, which is where it belongs.”
